On my 7-day Mardi Gras cruise last year we had 6 comedians. On the other hand, many guests prefer the cruise line’s “Your Time” open seating dining option, by far the most popular time selected for dinner. Guests with “Your Time” dining could easily attend an earlier, pre-dinner show. Similarly, guests with later dining times could also enjoy the earlier show. That's the problem you have with a captive audience like on a cruise ship.

Late-night shows are for adults only, with themes inappropriate for children. On the MG there was a late night show in the theater 2 or 3 times over the course of the week featuring 2 comedians each doing an adult set. Over 7 days there was comedy available at least six days totalling about 40 shows.

We're just off the Mardi Gras and how it worked on there was the Punchliner was used for the adult shows and the Limelight Lounge was used for the PG shows. The comedians would do the same show 3 times each night in that venue and then switch venues the following night. It worked really well as the comedian doesn't have to do two different shows on the same night. It is possible that an early comedy show may interfere with other ship’s activities in the early evening hours, such as trivia contests and other fun. Providing one more option, however, ensures that everyone aboard can find something fun to do at any time. I can confirm that there were 2 comedians most nights in Punchliner and Limelight with overlapping showtimes.

No list exist, but some of the comedians that are common to do shows on the ships have them posted on their website. I know Allyn Ball has his schedule posted and others have mentioned they have websites that would list their schedule... These guys were all head and shoulders above the comedian they had on Spirit in March last year.
The next time you see them they've added new material. It is clearly hard for them to come up with different sets for 4 different shows on the voyage. Mutzie did a lot of improv, and each show was about 80% new jokes, but Cowboy Bill did the exact same set for 4 shows on two different days.

He knew the comedian I was talking about and said that some of these guys have one act and never change the routine. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the comedians on Spirit's NYE cruise just gone.
